Information Technology and Information Systems Security Experts Group (DEG)

On August 16, 2012 at the LV CSIRT meeting was decided to transform LV CSIRT into Information Technology and Information Systems Security Expert Group (DEG). DEG has its own Statutes (in Latvian) and Code of Ethics (in Latvian).

DEG consists of information technology and information systems security experts from various organizations in Latvia. Main goals of the group are:

• Enhance IT/IS security level in the Republic of Latvia
• Facilitate information exchange among the members of the group on IT/IS security threats
• Encourage and support professional growth of the group members
• Educate general public on IT/IS security topics
• Support CERT.LV

Monthly group meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month.
