2014. gadā no 3. līdz 6.jūnijam Tallinā norisināsies sestā starptautiskā konference par konfliktiem virtuālajā vidē "CyCon 2014". Studentu referātu pieteikšana konferencei jau ir sākusies. Anotāciju iesniegšanas termiņš ir 2014.gada 4.aprīlis.

Call for Student Papers Announced for CyCon
NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence 21 February 2014 Call for Student Papers Announced for CyCon.
The NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Student Paper Session with Best Student Thesis Awards due to take place at the annual CyCon conference in June this year. The program committee will accept the best 5 submissions to be presented during CyCon, giving the candidates a free conference pass for the whole event and a chance to win a cash prize.
We are seeking novel and previously unpublished short papers which provide an overview of a recent MSc thesis work in the field of cyber security and active cyber defence. Full list of possible topics can be found on CyCon webpage (www.ccdcoe.org/cycon/). Submissions will be evaluated based on their originality and significance in the context of active cyber defence. The submitters must have graduated from MSc programs no earlier than 01 January 2013.
The awards comprise of a free conference pass for all invited candidates and cash prizes for the top three student papers with 1000 Euro for the first, 600 Euro for second and 400 Euro for the third place.
Candidates must submit the following:
1) Summary of the thesis in maximum 2500 words written in English
2) Published thesis or dissertation
3) Signed recommendation letter from the university/thesis advisor
4) Curriculum Vitae
All documents should be sent as PDF files to cfp -at- ccdcoe.org referring to “STUDENT AWARD SUBMISSION” as the email’s subject. By submitting their work, authors accept and give permission for their papers to be published by NATO CCD COE.
Submission deadline is 4 April and the candidates will be notified of their acceptance on 1 May.
